Primary B - quiz Tuesday 11/15/11

Primary B students will have a quiz on Tuesday, November 15. The quiz will cover the following vocabulary on food and food related items.

1. bread - el pan
2. toast - el pan tostado
3. cookie - la galleta
4. milk - la leche
5. juice - el jugo
6. cheese - el queso
7. eggs - los huevos

Students were handed a list of "relatives". There will be a quiz on this vocabulary on Thursday, November 3rd.

Advanced MS Spanish 11/1/11

Students are still working on their research projects. They are due, for presentation, on Thursday, November 10th.

We are starting a new project, researching cultures that influenced the Hispanic culture and language we know today. Noah and Owen are working together with influences in Europe/Spain and Grace, Yasmine and Emma are working together with influences from Central and South America.

Architecture - 10/7/11

Students NEED to bring their model making materials and tools to EVERY class. Points are deducted for coming into class unprepared.

Beginners' MS Spanish

Study your animals list and the additional animals from class. We will have classwork involving all the animals on Tuesday, 10/11/11.

Advanced MS Spanish 10/10/11

Continue working on your worksheet regarding irregular verbs. You will need to turn it in on Tuesday, 10/11/11.

Primary Spanish A 10/10/11

Students will have a quiz on the animals that we have gone over in class (1-40). It will be a multiple choice quiz.

Primary Spanish - B 10/10/11

Primary Spanish B will have a quiz on all of the animals we have covered so far. (1-40) Students must know the correct article (el or la) to use with each animal from their list.


intermediate Spanish 10/10/11

Intermediates need to study their animals' list (1-40). Make sure you know how to apply the correct article to each animal. On Wednesday, will work on sentences using these animals, numbers and colors. There will be a quiz on all of the animals on Wednesday, October 26. Students will be given the animal names in English and they will have to translate them into Spanish. They must know the correct article and spelling of all of the animals- in Spanish.

Please continue to study the names of the letters of the alphabet in Spanish. We will have another spelling quiz on Thursday, similar to the one we had today. Also remember the names of the towns in the U.S. we went over in class that are named in Spanish.

Sentence quiz on Thursday using the words 1st-12th and last (ultimo). You must know how to conjugate, in the present tense, the verbs "ser, estar, tener y querer"

MS Beginner's Spanish 8/25/11

Homework:

There will be a "pop quiz" on Tuesday, August 30. Please go over the handout with the names of the letters of the alphabet (in Spanish) and from you notes, the general differences we went over today between English and Spanish.

MS Advanced Spanish 8/25/11

Homework:

1st-12th in spanish. From your class notes, make sure you know how to use them as a noun and as an adjective.

Remember that like other nouns and adjectives, they are gender specific. Therefore, the ending will change to reflect that.

We will continue to work on these next Tuesday, August 30th.

Primary Spanish - fruits, vegetables, colors, study guide

There will be a quiz on the following vocabulary words on Monday, April 4. These should not be too difficult, as it is your SECOND time taking a quiz on them. Please do your best to learn them and not just memorize them for your quiz.

Like your quiz on animals, you will need to know these words completely on your own. There will be no word bank and spelling will count. You have had these words since before Spring Break and we reviewed them in class at that time and on Monday after we got back from the Break. Therefore, there should be no excuse for not knowing these words.
