Since it was such a nice today, the class went outside to play for the last 15 minutes of class in exchange for learning and ADDING the following list of outdoor playground words to their quiz on Thursday.
Nouns:
1. playground - el patio
2. swing - el columpio
3. slide - la resbaladilla
4. rope - la cuerda
5. tire - la llanta
6. wheel - la rueda
7. fence - la barda o la cerca
8. pillow - la almohada
9. pebbles - las piedrillas
10. rock - la piedra
11. bridge - el puente
12. pole - el poste o el pilar
Verbs:
1. correr - to run
2. jugar - to play
3. gritar - to scream
4. sonreir - to smile
5. corretear - to chase
Additionally, in class they learned or reviewed the following:
1. who - quien
2. what - que
3. when - cuando
4. where - donde o adonde
5. how - como
6. why - por que

"on" as in "on the table" - sobre la mesa.
"under" as in "under the table" - de bajo de la mesa
inside - adentro
outside - afuera
Their quiz will consist of 10 short sentences in Spanish and they will have to translate them into English. It will also incorporate animals, colors, numbers and basic furniture or classroom items.
