There is a vocabulary quiz planned for Monday 11/29/10. It will be a multiple choice quiz. Students need to recognize the translations, not como up with the answers on their own for this quiz.
However, since I am posting this so late in the game, although my students were all told about this quiz on Monday, I will let those who are ready on Monday, to take it on Monday as planned, for five extra points. Otherwise, they may take it on Wednesday with no penalty but with no extra points.
The list is as follows:
1. family - familia
2. dinner - cena
3. turkey -pavo
4. stuffing - relleno
5. mashed potatoes - pure de papa
6. cranberries - arandanos
7. cornbread - pan de maiz
8. pecan pie - pie de nuez
9. pumpkin pie - pie de calabaza
P.S. Pie in English also translates to "tarta", though this term is more commonly used in Spain.
